Magical Angel Creamy Mami (Mahou no Tenshi Creamy Mami) is a Japanese anime made by Studio Pierrot and was the originator of the Magical Idol Sub-genre. It was published in the 1980s.
Plot[]
Yuu Morisawa is a 10-year-old girl who lives with her mother and father in their crepe shop. One day she sees a giant ship in the sky and follows it. After being transported into the ship, she helps an alien named Pino Pino find his way home to feather star. In return he gives her magical powers to use as she wishes for a year, as well as the alien cats Poji and Nega. Yuu finds that this power gives her the ability to grow into a 16-year-old and after chancing upon a television apperance she becomes the magical idol Creamy Mami. However she soon finds out how hard it is to juggle being an idol and a normal girl without being caught.
